Accounting Training & Initial Review of Financial Statements
My goal for this Taproot project is to have an accountant meet with our small staff (2 or 3 people) to help us understand nonprofit financial management best practices. Then, the volunteer will perform a review/audit of our finances to be able to assess our processes and recommend and assist with any needed remediation.
The volunteer will support our mission by enabling us to more accurately manage our cash flow and finances to allow us to grow our nonprofit. We provide transportation to seniors and visually impaired and are committed to doing what we can to continue this vital service.
We have had an experienced finance professional review our books and some issues have been noted. The Board is motivated to get this right but we have limited funds.
