Create clear board member role descriptions and expectations, plus adaptable outreach and recruitment templates (example outreach emails, role summary, and candidate intake language). Volunteers will refine wording with staff and discuss specific candidate criteria; details will be provided during interviews.

A stronger, clearer recruitment process will help Uptown Dance Center attract committed board members who support high-quality, culturally grounded dance education. Better governance and aligned leadership will expand capacity for scholarships, community programs, and holistic child development.

We will collaborate closely with the volunteer, share organizational context during onboarding, and provide timely feedback on drafts. Specific background materials and a staff contact will be provided to support regular check-ins; finer details will be discussed with the volunteer.
