Healing Home Group is seeking an experienced livestream and technology professional to help design the technical infrastructure for Hope One Walk, a nationwide awareness campaign beginning January 4, 2027.
Hope One Walk is a cross-country journey from Santa Monica, California, to New York City led by burn survivor and nonprofit founder Corey Halstead. Throughout the journey, we plan to livestream daily, allowing supporters, burn survivors, healthcare professionals, and communities across the country to follow the experience in real time.
We are looking for a volunteer who can help us design a dependable mobile livestream system that can operate for months while traveling across the United States. The volunteer will help evaluate cameras, audio equipment, streaming software, mobile internet solutions, power management, and backup systems. They will also help create a simple operating guide so volunteers can confidently manage the livestream throughout the journey.
Hope One Walk is more than a cross-country walk. It is an opportunity to connect burn survivors and supporters through real-time storytelling.
A reliable livestream will allow people from around the world to experience the journey as it happens, celebrate milestones, hear survivor stories, and participate in the mission regardless of where they live.
By helping us build this technology, the volunteer will directly contribute to expanding awareness, strengthening community engagement, and ensuring that burn survivors everywhere know they are not alone.
Healing Home Group has already established its 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, finalized Hope One Walk branding, begun outreach to burn centers and sponsors, launched social media platforms, and developed the overall vision for the campaign.
We are committed to working closely with our volunteer partner by providing regular communication, timely feedback, and all necessary project information. Recommendations developed during this project will be implemented, tested, and refined well before the January 2027 launch to ensure a reliable and professional livestream experience.
