Our organization works in international health and is navigating a rapidly changing and increasingly competitive funding environment. As we sharpen our fundraising priorities, we also need to ensure that the way we communicate our organization, expertise and impact effectively supports our fundraising and partnership goals.
Over time, we have developed a range of external communications, including our website, organizational descriptions, program and impact stories, donor materials and other content. With reduced staffing, we have not had the capacity to step back and assess whether these materials collectively tell a clear and compelling story about who we are, what distinguishes us, the results we achieve and why prospective funders and partners should invest in or work with us.
We need an experienced communications professional to review our current messaging and help us sharpen our organizational positioning, value proposition and core messages for prospective donors and partners.
This work will complement a separate fundraising strategy project so that our communications are closely aligned with the audiences and opportunities our organization has prioritized.
By the end of the project, we would like a clear and compelling messaging framework that strengthens how we present our organization to prospective donors and partners.
The consultant will review a focused set of our existing external materials, such as our website, organizational descriptions, donor materials and impact stories, to identify strengths, gaps and inconsistencies in our messaging.
Key deliverables would include a concise assessment of our current messaging; a refined organizational positioning and value proposition; a set of core messages communicating who we are, what distinguishes us, the impact we achieve and why donors and partners should invest in our work; and prioritized recommendations for incorporating this messaging into our most important fundraising and communications materials.
Success would mean that our organization has a consistent, compelling narrative and practical messaging that staff and board members can use across donor outreach, partnership development, proposals, presentations, our website and other priority communications.
