Anchor & Legacy With A Purpose, Inc. is a newly established Massachusetts nonprofit dedicated to providing mentorship and a path forward for youth impacted by homicide and community violence.

We are preparing to request a Taproot Project for grant development support and would like guidance from an experienced grant writer or fundraising professional before posting the opportunity.

During this consultation, we hope to receive advice on:

• Whether our proposed grant development project is appropriately scoped for Taproot volunteers.

• Which grant readiness materials we should complete before requesting assistance.

• The most valuable deliverables to include in a grant development project.

This consultation will strengthen Anchor & Legacy With A Purpose’s ability to win sustainable grants so it can expand mentorship and healing supports for youth and families impacted by violence, trauma, and grief. Volunteer expertise will help us prepare to produce a reusable toolkit and strategy that increase program stability and long-term empowerment for participants.

We will provide our mission statement, program overview, any existing fundraising or organizational materials, and staff leadership to collaborate during the consultation. Volunteers will review these materials, give actionable feedback, and help iterate a clear Taproot Project scope so work can start efficiently.
