We would like to develop an employer partnership strategy and pipeline that connects YTNRI youth to career exploration, job-shadowing, paid work-based learning, internships, and potential summer employment opportunities. The volunteer will help us identify and prioritize potential employer partners, develop an employer outreach strategy, partnership materials, engagement process, and a framework for matching youth skills and interests with employer opportunities. The goal is to establish a clear pathway from our Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 workforce programs to summer 2027 employment opportunities.
This project will help YTNRI move beyond workforce training to create meaningful connections between youth and employers. By developing strong employer partnerships, we can provide youth ages 12–19 with career exposure, professional networks, work-based learning, and pathways to employment. The resulting employer pipeline will strengthen our Fall and Spring programs and help prepare youth for meaningful summer 2027 employment opportunities.
YTNRI has identified several potential workforce and community partners and has begun initial outreach. We have a Fall 2026 workforce program and are planning a Spring 2027 continuation to prepare youth for summer employment. We will provide the volunteer with our program materials, partner list, youth goals, and existing outreach materials and will work directly with them to develop and implement the partnership strategy.

Our mission is to create pathways that help young people—especially those from marginalized and underserved communities—build confidence, achieve economic independence, and develop meaningful roles in society. We equip youth with both practical skills and personal development tools needed to thrive in school, work, and life.
